On the night of March 13, 2020, Breonna Taylor and her boyfriend were sleeping while police were gathering outside. They believed that this was the residence where a man was receiving packages of drugs. Taylor and her boyfriend were woken up by the sounds of the officers attempting to break down their door. In a reaction of self defense, Taylor's boyfriend fired 1 shot from his gun, but in return the officers fired over 20 rounds. Eight of these shots hit Breonna, resulting in her death.
Brett Hankison, Jonathan Mattingly, and Myles Cosgrove were the three officers involved in the murder of Breonna Taylor. Out of these three officers, only one has faced consequnces. Brett Hankison was fired nearly THREE MONTHS after the murder but all three are still free.
Breonna Taylor had aspirations to be a nurse. She was an EMT working on the frontlines during the corona virus.

Elijah McClain was 23 years old when the cops were called on him for "suspicious behavior." He was described to be wearing a ski mask and flailing his arms. Even though the person who called the police told them that he didnt seem dangerous, the police proceeded to forcefully hold him down and beat him until medics arrived. He was injected with a dose of Ketamine meant for a person of SIGNIFICANTLY LARGER SIZE than he was. This caused him to go into cardiac arrest TWICE, and on August 30, 2019 he was pronounced brain dead.
Nathan Woodyard, Jason Rosenblatt, and Randy Roedema were the officers involved in this murder. None of them have been charged or have faced any consequences. Here's a

Elijah had a beautiful soul and did not deserve this.
I am calling on behalf of Elijah McClain. We demand that D.A., Dave Young, re-open the case as the officers involved displayed tampering with evidence when footage heard, "Dude, move your camera," as well as the dislodging of the officers' cameras. We demand that Officers Nathan Woodyard, Jason Rosenblatt, Randy Roedema, Matthew Green, and Sgt Dale Leonard as well as Lt. Peter Chichuniec and Medic Jeremy Cooper of Aurora Fire Rescue are fired immediately and charged for killing Elijah McClain. We demand a public apology and admission of guilt, specifically on behalf of Dave Young, who found that the officers did not violate any criminal laws. Elijah McClain was a 23 year old man with limitless potential. Our world lost an incredible person and we demand justice. Take accountability.
